Greetings from planDisney, Theresa, and thanks for stopping by. Your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation will be here soon, and I can't think of a better time of year to visit. Spring is in the air! It sounds like you're interested in registering a member of your party for
Disability Access Service (DAS), so let's look at how that will work during your trip.
You might have heard that DAS procedures and requirements will change soon, but you will follow the current guidelines for your upcoming April visit. Currently, guests can register for the service by requesting a pre-arrival virtual chat within 30 to two days of arrival. Since you're probably too close to arrival, you can stop by any
Guest Relations or
Guest Experiences location at any theme park to register.
I suggest making DAS registration your first stop when you arrive. Be sure to have the applying guest with you during the process since they'll have their photo taken. Familiarize yourself with the
list of attractions eligible for DAS return times and make a list of any questions you have about the service. Once your registration is complete, you'll be able to
make selections throughout the day in your app.
Remember that DAS registration will change starting in mid-May, so the process for future visits will be somewhat different. Keep an eye on the DAS landing page for all updates.
My tip is to take advantage of virtual queues, as well. Attractions like
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind are not available for DAS return times, so you can try for a complimentary virtual queue at 7:00 AM on the morning you plan to visit that theme park. This is my family's favorite ride because we love guessing what classic song we'll listen to as we whirl and zip through space. You can
read more about available virtual queues here, so you'll be prepared to save the galaxy!
Theresa, I'm waving my magic wand to wish you a magical visit! Please
stop by planDisney anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
