Hi Erin! Welcome to planDisney! I’m thrilled to help you put the finishing touches on your Disneyland adventure.
You can connect your
MagicBand+ through the
Disneyland app, which is the official place to manage your band and link it to your
ticket or
Magic Key. Once you've downloaded the app and signed into your Disney account, tap the menu (those three horizontal lines in the bottom-right corner), scroll to the "Account" section, and select "MagicBand+." From there, tap the blue plus sign in the top-right corner and follow the prompts to link your band. If needed, the app will also guide you through pairing your MagicBand+ with your mobile device using Bluetooth. Easy as Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo!
Once everything is connected, your MagicBand+ becomes a handy companion throughout your day. You can use it to enter
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park, access
Lightning Lane entrances, and enjoy interactive experiences around the resort without needing to pull out your phone quite as often.
One of my favorite features is how MagicBand+ adds extra immersion to attractions and entertainment. During nighttime spectaculars like
Wondrous Journeys in Disneyland and
World of Color Happiness! in Disney California Adventure, your band may light up and pulse along with the music, lights, and special effects happening around you. It feels like you're part of the show rather than simply watching it.
You'll also notice special interactions in select attractions. I always smile when my band flashes red inside
Haunted Mansion as I am reminded to "hurry baaaack." It's a small touch, but it adds another layer of storytelling to an attraction I've enjoyed countless times.
Since Disneyland's
70th Anniversary Celebration is underway, be sure to keep an eye out for special
MagicBand+ experiences throughout the resort. As you stroll down Main Street, U.S.A., explore Adventureland, or make your way through Fantasyland, you may discover interactive locations that unlock unique effects and surprises. Look for the 70th Anniversary markers and signage to help guide your adventure.
