I am confused as to when the welcome show occurs on EMH days. I want to see the welcome show and want to make sure that we don't miss it. Is right before the EMH or before the regular park opening time?

Hi, Ashley!  My family and I love the Magic Kingdom Welcome Show! When my kids were younger, I would play the songs from it and the Main Street Trolley as I took them to school each morning. What great memories! The show normally begins approximately twenty minutes before Magic Kingdom opens, even if it's an Extra Magic Hours day. If you are staying on-site, you can enter the Park as soon as you've seen the show. Only Walt Disney World Resort Guests are allowed to enter the Theme Park during Extra Magic Hours, so if you aren't staying on property, you will need to arrive before the Extra Magic Hours opening time to see the show, but  then wait until regular Park hours to enter. You can always use that time to walk to the Contemporary Resort (or take a quick Monorail ride there, Disney's Polynesian Village, or the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa) and grab a quick breakfast. Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
