I am confused about the Jedi training academy. Is it a show that some randomly selected kids get to be a part of - or more like the Pirates league where you can sign up and experience the magic with a group of kids (not a performance on my kid's part)?

Hi, April! My son absolutely loved the Jedi Training Academy! He couldn't believe that he battled Darth Vader. While kids used to be randomly chosen, things have changed.  You no longer have to stand and wait your turn. You will pre-register.  Approximately 15 Padawan participants can register for each show.  When you first arrive at the theme park, look for the signs to take you to the registration location.  It is usually near the Sounds Dangerous attraction.  If you don't readily see it, just ask a Cast Member where to find it.  All sign-ups start at park opening, so get there early to be sure you get a spot for one of the shows during the day! I like this system much better, and I hope you will, too! Read all about it at the link I embedded above for you. Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
