I am confused. I want to book a trip for six nights but I want to utilize the two days tickets free. So do I need to book 4 days in the parks and get two tickets free or do I have to book all six days and the two tickets free will be included in the price?

    Hello Candice!

Welcome to planDisney! Early summer is a great time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. You’ll find the temperature a bit more comfortable than later in the summer. We are looking forward to our family vacation in July and I am planning on using the current ticket promotion too! The answer to your question is that it depends on how you book. Extra days are not automatically added for every Guest that books a vacation during that timeframe, so you do want to be sure you are booking through the promotion.

I think the easiest way is to begin on the Disney Special Offers Page. Choose the Special Offer that you are interested in, in this case, the “Get 2 Extra Days” promotion. It will open a page with offer highlights and details, and there will be an option from that page to Check Availability. Enter your trip details and you’ll be shown resorts with availability for the promotion. After selecting a resort, the quoted prices will be for the discounted package and will include both your room and theme park tickets. You can check to be sure you are getting the special offer by looking directly above the room types listed, where you will see different booking options. Usually, you’ll see a Room Only option, a Package option, and then options for any current promotions. Make sure the blue circle is checked for the 2 Extra Day Promotion. If you are booking longer than 4 nights, the promotion may automatically offer you park tickets for additional days. Double-check that your offer has the correct number of park days you want, no less than 6 days. For example, when I price out my visit for 7 nights, it offers me 8-Day Theme Park Tickets. Be sure to edit and select only the number of days you are wanting. In my case, we only want the 6-Day tickets. Again, going this method, the 6-Day and longer tickets in your package are at the promotional price.

If you skip the Disney Special Offers page and check resort availability from the main Walt Disney World Resort page, after you select a resort and are shown the room types, you will again see those booking options above. It defaults to a Room Only booking without promotions. If you continue to book from there, you will not receive promotional pricing. You must select the 2 Extra Day Promotion option to see the promotional pricing. If you compare that Room Only plus tickets price to booking through the promotion, you can verify by the different price points that you are indeed receiving the discount.

Alternately, you can call for assistance with booking your trip, or consider using a Disney Authorized Travel Agent. Many people think that using a Travel Agent costs additional, but it does not! A Travel Agent is also able to book you with any current promotional offers.

I hope this helps you book your practically perfect Walt Disney World Resort Vacation, Candice! Please let us know what additional questions you have as your trip approaches, we are here to help!
