Hi Chad!
The
Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa are absolutely stunning, and the little touches from movies such as
Mary Poppins and
Dumbo will delight Disney fans of all ages.
The innovative bathroom design is a bit different than other Disney Vacation Club Villas, and is designed to allow flexibility when multiple family members are needing to get ready at the same time. In a 1 Bedroom Villa there is technically one bathroom since there is only one toilette. The toilette area also contains a sink and a walk-in shower. This primary area of the bathroom is accessible from the hallway by the Villa entrance. There is also a secondary bathroom area with a separate sink and vanity area and a full size Victorian style tub with bubble jets, that is separated from the primary bathroom area by a door. A second door leads from that tub area into the Master Suite. With two separate bathing areas and two vanity areas, there should be more time to get ready and fewer family squabbles during the morning rush to get to the parks.
The pull-down bed in the entertainment console is considered "bunk-size". It is similar to a twin, and while I think it would work quite nicely for a smaller adult or teen, a taller or larger adult might feel it a bit tight. Since it does pull-down, and has the side of the console along the one side, this might increase the cramped feeling for some.
I hope this helps solves one versus two bathroom mystery. While enjoying the beautiful vanity area in the Villas, be sure to check out the television right in the mirror! My boys thought this was amazing, and of course are now requesting one for home. At least they can enjoy that perk on our next visit, because I don’t think we’ll be getting one at our house anytime soon!
Have a magical day!
