    Hi, I just want to confirm that the pool at the Contemporary is available for pool hopping. Also, are there certain times of day when a pool is more likely to be closed for pool hopping? Thanks for your help with this!

    Hi Leigh!

    Pool hopping is one of the many perks that are part of Disney Vacation Club’s Membership Magic program. If you have a family of swimmers, pool hopping is a great way to explore and enjoy the pools at other Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Pool hopping is only available to Disney Vacation Club Members who are staying at a Disney Vacation Club Resort using Vacation Points.  Before you pool hop, please be sure to check with the front desk of the hotel you will be visiting to be sure about pool availability. When the pool is closed for capacity reasons, Disney Vacation Club Members will be asked to leave to allow current guests at that resort to utilize the pool. Be sure to have your Magic Band, your Disney Vacation Club Membership Card and a Photo ID to use any Membership benefits or perks. 

    Pool hopping is allowed at most other Disney resort hotels with the exception of the following: Bay Cove Pool at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Uzima Pool and Samawati Springs Pool at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Stormalong Bay at the Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, the leisure pool at Disney’s Beach Club Villas, the Lava Pool and leisure pool at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and the pools at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort.

    This means that you may pool hop to the main pool at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, but not the pool at Bay Lake Tower. Pool hopping is also restricted during the following upcoming dates, though more dates could be added:

    June 27 - July 11, 2015 
    September 5 - September 7, 2015 
    November 22 - 29, 2015 
    Dec 19, 2015 - Jan. 3, 2016
