Welcome to planDisney, Christine! We are glad you brought your question to us today.
How fun that your company will be holding a conference at Walt Disney World Resort! The
Walt Disney World Swan and
Dolphin hotels are in a great location, just a short walk away from Disney's Hollywood Studios and the International Gateway entrance to EPCOT.
Typically, conferences held at Walt Disney World Resort do offer the opportunity for conference attendees to purchase theme park tickets. I have seen after 5 pm convention tickets available for previous conferences. These tickets are not available to the general public and are not sold at theme park ticket windows. Check with your conference organizer for a link to purchase these special convention tickets. If the conference has a registration website, there will usually be a link to purchase convention tickets there. (If you don't see a direct link to purchase tickets, try looking for a tab with activities or additional travel information, or check your conference registration email.) It will depend on the specific conference you will be attending, but in my experience, the link to purchase tickets will expire prior to the beginning of the conference. Again, it will be up to the organizers of your specific conference, but usually, theme park tickets are not available to purchase at the conference itself.
It is important to know that at this time, in order to enter a theme park all Guests ages 3 and up must have both a valid admission ticket and a
Disney Park Pass theme park reservation. Disney Park Pass reservations are limited, and availability can change at any time. Be sure to check the
theme park reservation availability calendar prior to purchasing tickets. To make a Disney Park Pass theme park reservation, you will need a
My Disney Experience account and an admission ticket linked to your profile.
If you choose not to purchase theme park tickets, you will find wonderful dining options at the Swan and Dolphin and other nearby hotels for your group dinner. I highly recommend
Ale & Compass Restaurant and
Yachtsman Steakhouse at
Disney's Yacht Club Resort,
Cape May Cafe at
Disney's Beach Club Resort, and
Trattoria al Forno at
Disney's BoardWalk. For more team fun, take a stroll around Crescent Lake and enjoy the performers along the BoardWalk in the evening. Another idea would be to hop aboard the
Disney Skyliner (no ticket required) to travel to
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera at
Disney's Riviera Resort. This elegant rooftop restaurant has amazing views!
