I am coming to WDW with my 12 & 15 yr. old daughters and their 2 friends (5 people all together.) We have annual passes, so we need to buy 3 one day tickets besides the tickets for their friends. Is the dining plan worth the extra $225?

    Jill,

Short answer:  Probably not worth it.  Your very likely better off to buy the Disney Dining Experience card and use the 20% dining discount it provides.

Longer answer:  It depends on many thing, including...
    - Are you going to be able to use the three one day tickets sometime in the near future?  If you are going to use them, then the $225 really isn't a "cost" to you, just a pre-pay.
    - Have you "done the math" to see how much the Disney Dining Plan ("DDP") might save you?  I doubt it would save more than $225, but it is possible.
    - How much do you "value" the fact that most of your dining is pre-paid?  For us, that is probably the biggest benefit of the Disney Dining Plan, since I don't like having to worry about the cost of food once we arrive at WDW
    - How many days are you going for - the longer your trip, the more benefit the DDP might provide.

Hope this helps make your decision a little easier.
