Hi Jillian, welcome to planDisney!
Enchanting Extras Collection experiences are a great way to sprinkle some extra pixie dust on an already magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Young princesses and knights have Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Magic Kingdom Park. Big kids like us have things like
EPCOT Seas Adventure - DiveQuest and
Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour to add to our Disney bucket lists.
I've been keeping an eye on availability for Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour recently. You are correct that it is not being offered on select dates over the busy holiday season. The tour appears to reopen on January 9, which is consistent with intel from a Cast Member that I
shared with another Guest recently. This Enchanting Extras Collection experience can be booked online 60 days in advance any time after midnight. Guests staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel can book for dates during their entire length of stay (up to 10 days) 60 days before check-in, which is a definite advantage. Since I do not have a January stay at a Disney Resort hotel booked <<sigh>>, I can book for January 13 the morning of November 14.
My best tip for securing a coveted spot for Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour is to be online the moment availability opens up. The early bird has the best chance of getting the reservation! If availability has already been filled by Guests staying at Disney Resort hotels, don't give up. Availability changes in real-time as Guests are constantly reimagining their park days.
I am still basking in the EARidescent glow of the Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour I took with some friends on Friday. My mind and heart are full of the trivia, memories, and fresh perspective I gained with the help of our amazing tour guide, Alex. My feet were also feeling the magic on our five-hour tour, so I encourage you to wear your most comfortable shoes for your special walk down Main Street, U.S.A.
