We are coming to WDW for the week of Nov. 2-9. We are struggling to decide between 2 deluxe resorts, AK and WL trying to narrow it down to one, and two moderate Coronado and POFQ. Quick Service and the pools are most important for us and 12 YO twin boys.

    Kristen,

So let's look at your conundrum.

For the choice between the two Deluxe choices I would tell you that I prefer the Wilderness Lodge for the slightly better transportation choices, including the boat to the Magic Kingdom. But while both have good quick service restaurants, I think that the Mara in the Animal Kingdom Lodge is the better of the two. As for pools, they are different, but roughly on par. I would edge towards the Wilderness Lodge for the theme, but really they are pretty even. Also you will find that there might be more resort-based exploring for your boys at the Animal Kingdom.

BOTTOM LINE: While for me the Wilderness Lodge is better, I think for you the better choice is the Animal Kingdom Lodge

For the choice between the moderates, i think that your choice is easier. I would recommend Port Orleans French Quarter. The quick service restaurant is better, they can boat to Downtown Disney, and I think that, with the adjacent Port Orleans Riverside, they have more to do.

BOTTOM LINE: Definitely Port Orleans French Quarter.

    Have a magical vacation!
