Hi we will be coming to WDW from 03/03/2014 to 03/10/2014 we have two boys 4 and 1.We are contemplating staying at wilderness lodge.Because the deals are not out for 2014 do you think we should wait until after the first of the year to book?

    Hi Kelly!

You've chosen a WONDERFUL resort for your Disney trip! I absolutely adore the Wilderness Lodge and never pass up a chance to stay there!

Personally, I like to go ahead and book my Disney resort as soon as I have my dates set. Once I do this, I can breathe a little easier and begin planning things like dining and special activities for the family.

If you would like to go ahead and book now, you can do so without too many worries. It is almost always possible to apply a newly released discount or promotion to an existing reservation. As long as the hotel and room category you booked is available under the promotion, it can be applied. If the discount is not available with your current resort choice, you are often given the opportunity to change resorts and/or room categories.

We've done this many times over the past years and always have had great luck! The best bet is to keep an eye on the Special Offers page of This page will announce the current discounts and promotions available to guests.

Have a wonderful vacation and I hope you grab a great deal!
