We are coming to WDW next month for 4 days. I booked the Coronado Springs resort, but now having 2nd thoughts. This will be our 1st trip to Disney with my 2 children (7 and 5) You mention a lot about POFQ and Riverside. Ease my mind!

    Lisa,

I just stayed at Coronado Springs a few weeks ago and it was wonderful!  That was my third stay at the resort and I like it.  It's beautiful there, and their food court (Pepper Market) is delicious.  We also really like the Dig Site, with the pyramid pool, sand volleyball, playground, spa, pool bar...very nice!

I was also very pleasantly surprised to find a completely renovated room this visit.  The bathroom area was separated from the room with large wooden sliding doors, and the dark rich wood in the room gave it a very elegant feel.  There was also a flat panel TV and DVD player in the room - I was impressed.  It felt much more upscale than I recall in the past.  I don't know if this redo has made it to all of the rooms, but it was certainly done and welcome in the Cabanas section if you'd like to request it.  (FYI, I was in room 9672)

Personally, Caribbean Beach and Coronado Springs appeal much more to me than either of the Port Orleans resorts, so I wouldn't worry too much.  Everyone has their own preferences based on themeing, and I think you should trust your gut.  You chose Coronado for a reason.  If the theme appeals to you, then I think you will love it!
