Hi Jeanette!
I was at Walt Disney World this weekend at we stayed at the
Caribbean Beach Resort in the
Pirate Room and my kids loved it!
As soon as we walked in the door their jaws dropped. They threw down their bags and immediately began faux sword fighting on the bed. They were running around from the pirate curtain hanging separating the bath and living area to the "Flying Duchman" carving in the shower to the wooden plank carpet, gold treasure bed and of course...the pirate beds!
Not only do these rooms have a small refrigerator, but the fridge looks like a wooden barrel, which is so much fun!
The Old Port Royale features a food court, which has some grocery items, such as milk, yogurt and fruit, and the Calypso Trading Post, which has a limited amount of groceries and snacks (such as crackers, cookies and pretzels.)
If you are looking for a wider selection of grocery items, there is a Publix grocery store about 20 minutes away. However, if you don't have your own car that may be a bit of a challenge. You can always call a taxi to go there, but you may not want to spend the time or money on a taxi to get groceries when you are on vacation. Another option is to order groceries through gardengrocer.com and arrange to have the groceries delivered to your room. You can order all of your groceries ahead of time on their website and they will deliver to any Walt Disney World resort! It makes it easy and convenient!
I hope you have a magical vacation!
Magically,
Stacy
