Coming to WDW on March 4 and staying at Port Orleans-Riverside and see that I can check in 10 days from my arrival date. What is the advantage of checking in on line?

    Anne,

The Online Check In is a great way to speed up your fun on that first day!

All you need to do is check in from home, and it takes only 10-15 minutes. Then when you arrive at your Walt Disney World resort your check in takes just a few minutes.

When you arrive at the resort, because you are already checked in, you go to a separate line at the hotel check-in counter. Every time I have been to a Disney resort since they started this program, that line has been FAR shorter than the standard check-in line. Your packet, including room keys (Key to the World cards) are already printed and ready to go. In just a few minutes you are done and on your way.

If you otherwise checked in the normal way, you could be waiting in line much longer, dependent upon time of day, and then take another 15 minutes or so to check in. I estimate that my time savings is a good 25-35 minutes, on average.

Another perk to online check-in is that you can make any special room requests. They won't necessarily be granted, but this gets the request in to the hotel staff early, likely improving the chances of them being fulfilled.

BOTTOM LINE: I recommend the On-Line Check-In very highly!

    Have a magical vacation!
