I have DS3 and DS4 and we are coming to WDW the last week of September for the boys' first visit. The boys really love Mickey and I want to do a character dine with them. Where would you suggest eating?

Hi Michelle...there are several great choices for dining with Mickey!  One of my favorites is the Chef Mickey breakfast or dinner held at the Contemporary resort.  It is a buffet and considered by many including me as the Best All Round Character Meal.  He is often joined by his good friends Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Donald but characters do change so please don't get your heart set on all of them showing up each day.

My second choice is a very different dining experience and it's the Mickey's Backyard Barbecue held at Fort Wilderness in an open air pavilion complete with a live country music band and barbecue buffet.  The characters do not come to your tables but this is the one place where the children are allowed and encouraged to come out on the dance floor and dance with the characters!  For those wishing for a more quiet experience several characters will stand off to the side for greetings.  It is a fun evening and a favorite for my three year old grandson.

Another often forgotten location to dine with Mickey is the Garden Grill in the Land Pavilion in EPCOT.  He is often joined by Pluto and Chip and Dale.
