Hello Pamela,
Thanks for coming back to planDisney! We're always glad to help guests make the most of their vacation whether by land or sea (or in your case, both).
As you've heard, guests with Disney Resorts Collection hotel stays have
an exciting perk on the horizon. Once the clock strikes midnight on 2025, eligible guests can take advantage of added arrival day magic at one of Walt Disney World Resorts' Water Parks. I'm looking forward to this myself, and like you, I had a few specific questions on logistics. Let's dive into the details!
This
new benefit is available exclusively to Disney Resorts Collection hotel guests only on their check-in day. Guests are advised to
check the operations calendar to confirm whether Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park will be available. Keep in mind that the water parks may be affected by weather-related closures. This perk will not be valid on another day even in the event of closures or guest's late arrivals. If you are hoping to enjoy a few hours splashing down on your check-in date, I recommend trying to arrive as early in the day as possible.
Room-only reservations do qualify, as well as split stays between multiple
eligible resorts. I have a summer trip planned with an arrival day at two different resorts and am definitely excited to have two opportunities to experience a water park. Just be sure your resort reservation is linked to your My Disney Experience Account and that all guests are named on the reservation details.
If you are unable to enjoy this benefit due to a late flight or hope to visit on additional days during your stay you can
purchase a 1-Day Water Park Ticket. You can also upgrade your standard theme park tickets to the Park Hopper Plus Option or Water Park and Sports Option. These would give you more flexibility and more opportunities to enjoy the water parks during your visit.
I'm sorry I don't have a more magical answer for you today, Pamela, but I know plenty of fun is just around the riverbend on your upcoming visit. If you have additional questions or need further guidance please come back and let us know.
Magic and memories,
Amy
