Coming to WDW in Feb 2013 for 9 days. Will have a 2 yo. almost 3 yo. I know you can use the disney bus, but does it really work for toddlers? Will need to return to room to nap and go to other resorts for meals. Is rental car worth extra $ for convience?

    Hi Wendy!

One of the benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World (WDW) Resort is that you can take advantage of the Disney transportation, which offers transportation from your resort to all of the parks and Downtown Disney.

We always drive to WDW, so we have had the advantage of having a car and using Disney transportation. When my kids were toddler's, we did use the Disney transportation to get to all of the parks, but used our car to visit Downtown Disney and getting a few grocery items.

I do think that the Disney transportation works great, even if you have toddlers, and it is a huge relief from having to worry about driving, parking and getting from the car to the gates with little ones in tow. I found it convenient because I could hold my kids on my lap while they napped and relax and check my maps and itinerary on the way to the parks.

However, I can see where you are concerned, especially if you are going back to the room for naps.  If you are planning to shop or visit any location that is off WDW property or visit a lot of the other resorts, it may be worth it to rent a car.

No matter which option you choose, I know you will have a magical vacation!

    Magically,
    Stacy
