Coming to WDW in Feb. 2014. We arrive around 10am and taking the ME to our hotel. Our plan is to go to AK that day and want to do the Kilmianjaro. Are the animals out more around lunch time or closer to closing? Trying to figure out the best time to view.

    Hey Elizabeth!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you so much for bringing us your question.

Animal Kingdom is a great way to kick off your Walt Disney World vacation. Kilimanjaro's Safari is my favorite attraction. I have been on it morning, noon and late afternoon and found a plethora of animal no matter the time of day. I would say of all the times I went there the animals were less active in the heat of the day. Just like you and I, they look for a shady place to rest during that time. While you will still see many animals then, they won't be very active.

I hope this helps with your planning. If you have any other questions about your park touring strategies or any other aspect of your Walt Disney World vacation please come back and see me.

Wishing you a magical vacation and a pixie-dusted day!
