Hi John,
What a great question! You have multiple options regarding table service dining with
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP). There are no table service restaurants available during party hours, however your ticket for MVMCP will allow you to enter the Magic Kingdom as early as 4 p.m., so you could attempt to reserve a table after that time in the Magic Kingdom while the table service restaurants are still open. Alternately, there are many great restaurants at all three resorts that are serviced by the monorail, so you certainly had a great idea with that suggestion. Another option that maybe you had not considered is dinner at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort (
Trail's End Restaurant and the
Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue are the two options there), which can be reached via Walt Disney World Water Transportation directly from the Magic Kingdom. Lastly, there are several fantastic restaurants at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge, which is a short bus ride away from the Magic Kingdom.
The last part of your question was cut off, but I believe you were asking if MVMCP is worth the cost. My favorite thing about these special event parties is the limited number of people in the Magic Kingdom. Very limited lines (honestly, the only one I recall from last year was for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train), complimentary cookies and hot cocoa, snow on Main Street, USA, and Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season, an incredible fireworks show above Cinderella Castle. It's a great way to get into the holiday spirit! I say yes, totally worth it!
Best Wishes,
Amy B.
