Hi Lisa,
A very happy early birthday to your "little" boy, there is no better place to celebrate them then at Disney World! You will be happy to know that the park hours for your trip are now available. They can be found
here and to find the hours for the park's parades and events just click on the park you are interested in.
I like to use
www.touringplans.com to help plan our family's trips. This site utilizes past park attendance, special events and a number of other sources to determine a rating of how busy the four main parks will be each day. They also provide a suggestion of which park(s) are the best to visit on any given date. Based on the information for your son's birthday, June 1st, the two parks they suggest visiting are Epcot and Magic Kingdom. Epcot's only character dining experience is the Princess breakfast at Akershus at the Norway Pavilion. Magic Kingdom will offer two character experiences, one at Cinderella's Royal Table with the princesses and Winnie the Pooh and friends at Crystal Palace. Crystal Palace is one of our absolute favorite character meals as we love Pooh and the food is delicious! If you would like to stay in the parks, I would choose Crystal Palace.
Another thought is to leave the parks and venture over to Contemporary Resort for a meal with the big cheese himself, Mickey Mouse. Chef Mickey's is a perfect place to celebrate a birthday with Mickey Minnie, Pluto and other Disney pals. The location serves breakfast and dinner and is upbeat, loud and just a fun place to celebrate. All of the charcter meals are extremely popular, so I would suggest calling 407-WDW-DINE 407-939-3463 to make your selection.
Hope your son has a fantastic birthday and you all have a magical trip!
