    We are coming to WDW in August with the dining plan. Does everyone in your party at a table service restaurant have to use a table service credit? My son is a picky eater and isn't always hungry for a big meal. What if he doesn't want to eat at all?

    Hi Judy! I have one of those picky sons myself, and he often sits and watches the rest of us eat when he can't find anything to order on the menu at some restaurants. Everyone at your table is not required to use their Disney Dining Plan credits. Whether you have a son who doesn't want to eat or you're dining with other guests not on the Dining Plan, just tell your server which guests are using Dining Plan credits for their meals. If your son is 10 or over and considered an adult on the Dining Plan, but he wants to order a child's meal, you can tell your server that you'll pay out of pocket for his meal rather than using an adult Dining Plan credit, if you wish.

    If you're dining at a buffet or fixed-price meal, everyone at the table is generally charged a per-person price, regardless of how much they eat, so you may want to avoid those types of restaurants unless they have items that appeal to your son. Disney restaurants are very accommodating to picky eaters. If your son doesn't see anything on the menu that appeals to him, don't hesitate to ask the server if other options are available. My son's favorite food is a grilled cheese sandwich, and he's been able to order one at restaurants such as 'Ohana, the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue, and Yak & Yeti, even though grilled cheese doesn't appear on the menus there.
