Hello! I am coming to Walt Disney World for my 36th birthday in November. I want to do a capture your moment photo session in Magic Kingdom to celebrate. How do I go about this? How do I let them know that I'm celebrating? Thank you!

    Hi Brandy,

Celebrating birthdays at Walt Disney World is extra magical! I love the new Capture Your Moment photo sessions because you get to spend extra time making sure you get all of the photos you want. These also make perfect Christmas card photos to showcase you at your favorite place.

To book a Capture Your Moment session, you will need to visit the website and check available dates for your trip. Enchanting Extras can only be booked 60 days in advance so you will need to wait until a little closer to your trip date to get your session on the books. When you are within your 60-day window simply choose your visit date, then pick the time you would like your session, and check out.

On the day of your reservation, you will check it at the Liberty Square Ticket Office. Your photographer will meet you there and head to the location of your photoshoot. Don't forget that the actual downloaded photos are not included in this session. You are only paying for the photographer's services. You will need to purchase those separately. If you have already purchased Memory Maker all of the photos will be included for download so I highly recommend purchasing this ahead of time. This lets you get photos with characters throughout the day and at all PhotoPass locations at the theme parks and download all of them! Since you are celebrating a birthday, the must-do photo is to ask the balloon person if you can get a photo holding all of the balloons on Main Street. It is an iconic and fun shot to show off your birthday celebration!

I like combining a 20-minute session with a treasure hunt of PhotoPass locations throughout the day for a variety of different pictures. In the My Disney Experience App if you select the map icon at the bottom, you can sort on "PhotoPass." This will give you a map of all the PhotoPass photographer locations while you are there. It is fun to run around and see how many of these you can get throughout the day!

    Happy Planning
