Hi, we are coming from the UK and staying at the Bay Lake Tower from 11/27/15 to 12/18/15, our daughter will be 2 on arrival however will turn 3 on 12/13/15 do we need to buy a park ticket for her? Initially told no, now being told yes when she turns 3?

    Hi Andrew!

What a lovely long holiday you have planned. Disney’s Bay Lake Tower is a great location with a little one. You’ll be walking distance to the Magic Kingdom, and a quick Monorail ride to Epcot and all the dining, shopping and activities at the other Monorail resorts. You may also want to check out Chef Mickey’s. Located right next door at the adjacent Contemporary Resort, you and your family can dine with the big man himself, Mickey Mouse! In addition to Mickey Mouse, you’ll also meet a selection of his most popular friends. Beginning this week, Chef Mickey’s will be adding brunch to it’s offerings, in addition to breakfast and dinner. Be sure to call 180 days in advance of your resort check-in for the best availability for Advance Dining Reservations.

Walt Disney World Resort is the perfect place to celebrate a birthday. You’ll be happy to know that the child’s age on the day you check-in to your resort determines their age for the entire trip. This applies to theme park tickets, room occupancy and the Disney Dining Plan. Since your daughter is 2 years old when you check-in, you will not need a theme park ticket for her during your stay.

Please let us know what other questions we can help you with here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel as you plan your upcoming holiday. We love helping fellow Guests’ vacations magical!

    Have a Disney Day!
