Hello we are coming from the UK for the first time this February, can we purchase magicbands at the 'All Star Music Disney Hotel' when we arrive? and will they be ready to use for the parks? thank you

    Welcome to planDisney, Stephen!

I'm so excited to hear that you're planning your first visit to Walt Disney World Resort!  There is so much magic to experience across the four theme parks, two water parks, and the surrounding resort area, that it's no wonder Walt Disney World is known as "The Most Magical Place on Earth!"

Stephen, Disney Bands (also known as Magic Bands) are a handy accessory to simplify your visit.  These are worn on the wrist and can be used as room keys, admission tickets, and even a form of payment during your stay, as you can use your band to charge directly to your room account.  You'll be happy to know that you can find Disney Bands located throughout Walt Disney World, and even in Maestro Mickey's - the shop located inside Disney's All-Star Music Resort.  These are easy to set up through the My Disney Experience mobile app and include instructions inside the box to link with your existing MyDisney account.  If you have any questions, Cast Members at the front desk should also be able to assist!

While you're enjoying everything that Walt Disney World has to offer, one of my top pieces of advice is to also make sure you take some time to relax and slow down - this is vacation after all!  You'll find great pools at All-Star Music along with an assortment of recreational activities.  I always suggest confirming the current schedule in the lobby during check-in and throughout your visit, so you have the most up-to-date information.  Two of our favorites that have quickly become "must-dos" each stay are watching the Movies Under the Stars and roasting marshmallows at the evening campfires.

Stephen, I hope this information is helpful and that you enjoy a wonderful trip!  If you're looking for some additional first visit tips, check out our Video Library for a great planDisney Podcast recording featuring my pals Elaine and Jonathan, and, of course, feel free to stop by to see us again here at planDisney - we're all ears!

    Cheers,
    Kristi
