We are coming for our 3rd trip in 3 years this November10-16. We opted for the Plus dining plan for the four of us. However there are no reservation available for many of the restaurants we would like to visit. 'Ohana, etc. Is it strictly reservation only?

Welcome to the Mom's Panel, Ken! I'm so sorry you are finding it difficult to find availability at many of the restaurants you are interested in dining at during your trip. 'Ohana just happens to be my favorite restaurant at Walt Disney World and one we like to experience on every vacation!  Because guests can begin making Advanced Dining Reservations 180 days in advance, you may be finding it more difficult at this time to find availability at the most popular dining restaurants. 'Ohana is definitely one of the most popular dining locations and I have found from experience that it can be quite challenging to find availability when not booking well in advance. Several years ago when staying at Disney's Polynesian Resort, we were fortunate to find seating at 5:00 p.m. right when the restaurant opened without an Advanced Dining Reservation. However, since then we have never been able to secure a last minute table (even for a party of two.) I would recommend that you check back frequently by calling (407) WDW-DINE or by going online here to see if anything new becomes available. If you are flexible with your dining times, you may have greater success in securing a lunch reservation at some restaurants; whereas, dining times at dinner may be unavailable or vice versa. Many of the most popular dining locations now require a credit card to secure the reservation so I believe more guests will cancel their Advanced Dining Reservations if they are unable to keep them in order to prevent losing their deposit. I have found that many of the most popular table-service restaurants are quite difficult to dine at without a prior Advanced Dining Reservation; whereas, you will find at many other table-service restaurants availability on a walk-up basis. I hope this helps! Please don't hesitate to write me back with any additional questions. Best wishes for a Magical November Trip, Ken!
    Happy Planning,
