Coming 12/27-1/1@POR.NoPH.27AK,28EP,29HS,30&31MK.Busy time I know!Realize NYE will b crazy. getting to MK @ opening and staying put. ?is:should we to do same other days/other parks or will we b ok to sleep in a day or take a break and come back in even

You are right that for several of the days that you are there, if you want to be in the Magic Kingdom, you are best off not risking leaving midday, as you may not get back in.

What many people never realize is that the Magic Kingdom, just like a movie theater or other venue, is only allowed to have so many people in it before the Fire Marshall considers that it would not be safe. So when they reach that number, they close the gates! Even if you have a dining reservation inside, you still can't get in!

That is a good thing, by the way. I love that Disney is focused on guest safety. It is one of the reasons that I like it so much.

But this only happens on select days. And regarding the other parks, as you asked, they rarely reach full capacity. I always find that Hollywood Studios is fine, so that is where I typically choose to go on days like Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, or New Year's Eve. So yes, you should be OK with a day of sleeping in and heading there for some fun!

    Have a magical vacation!
