Hello there, Danielle!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney! If you’ve got a dream of adding an extra brush of color to your visit, you’re in the right place. Your question actually comes to me at the perfect time, as I just did a bit of research on hair braiding and wrapping options at
Walt Disney World Resort this past Sunday. Let's make like Rapunzel and untangle the details together, shall we?
My son and I enjoyed a quick weekend visit and wanted to make the most of our last few hours before heading back to the airport. We decided to take a resort tour utilizing the
Disney Skyliner and spent some time exploring
Disney's Art of Animation Resort. After saying hello to our favorite Radiator Springs pals near the Cozy Cone Pool, we headed over to take in the sights and sounds around The Big Blue Pool, the largest on Disney property.
While the pool itself is reserved for registered guests, we were able to access the area near
The Drop Off Pool Bar. Unfortunately, we were a little too early to grab a beverage, but we took some time to check out the other amenities, including a ping-pong table, a self-service beverage station, a laundry room, and restrooms. We also chatted with the attendant at the hair wrapping/braiding station, which also offers henna and airbrush tattoos.
The attendant let us know that they are currently operating at both Art of Animation and
Disney's Pop Century Resort, 7 days a week. We didn't have time to relive our favorite decades at Pop before heading out, but the station was located near
Petals Pool Bar at the Hippy Dippy Pool on a past visit. Hair wrapping is offered in a variety of colorful options and is priced per inch according to the length of hair. You can also add colored beads, charms, and accents in a variety of styles for an added fee.
The quickest way to get from
Disney's All-Star Movies Resort to the hairstyle of your dreams would be to board a bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios, then hop on the Skyliner. You'll ride to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort before making a quick transfer to the Art of Animation/Pop Century Line. The Skyliner is practically an attraction in itself for my family, so I'd definitely make some time to experience it on a rest day or while enjoying your time at Hollywood Studios.
I hope this helped, Danielle! Please come back and see us with more questions, because as they say, planDisney knows best. I'd also be happy to share
more resort touring suggestions if you're looking to have the "best day ever" on your arrival or departure days.
Magic and memories,
Amy
