We are coming for several days at the end of May (24-31), what rides are closed?

Hey there, Chris! Welcome to planDisney!

It looks like your Walt Disney World vacation is fast approaching. How exciting! You’ll be enjoying all the Mickey-shaped snacks your heart desires before you can say “bibbidi-bobbidi-boo!” So let’s get you the information you’re looking!

Walt Disney World attractions need refurbishment and updates from time to time, and you can see which attractions are closed for refurbishment on the Hours and Events calendar. Attraction availability is always subject to change, but here is the list of temporarily closed attractions at the time I’m writing this.

    Magic Kingdom:
    - Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
    - Astro Orbiter
    - Hall of Presidents
    - The indoor children’s playground at Dumbo The Flying Elephant

    EPCOT:
    - Test Track

Some theme park spaces are currently being replaced by new attractions, such as Zootopia: Better Zoogether! opening at the Tree of Life theater at Animal Kingdom later this year. Even better, two new shows will be debuting during your visit. Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After and The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure are scheduled to open on May 27, 2025, at Hollywood Studios, which means you could be among the first to see the shows. How cool is that?

I hope this information is helpful, Chris. I’m sure your upcoming Walt Disney World adventure is going to be amazing. If you have any other questions, just pop right back to planDisney and ask away! We’re always happy to help.

    Magical travels!
