Coming in September with our 2 kids - my son will turn 5 while we are there and my daughter is 2. We are deciding where to do a character dinner our first night? And the last night is my son's birthday? Where is the best character meal for a birthday??

    Hi Melissa!

Congrats on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World! We always visit in September for our kids' birthdays as well. My daughter just recently turned five at Walt Disney World during out last trip and we took her to Crystal Palace to celebrate. The Crystal Palace has characters from Winnie the Pooh, including the famous pooh bear himself, Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore. Your little guy will have Disney Magic (Mickey Mouse shaped confetti) on the table when you arrive and he will receive a special card signed by Winnie the Pooh and friends and a cupcake, complete with a candle to make a wish. But, he probably won't be able to think of a better wish than celebrating his birthday at the most magical place on earth!

If you are looking for a character meal on your first night, Chef MIckey's at The Contemporary is a great choice. We ate there on our first night, and it was great because the kids loved seeing MIckey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto and Goofy to set the tone for our entire trip! It is also a great choice if you will be arriving later in the day and don't plan to visit a park that day.

My kids also love Cinderella's Royal Table (boys get a sword and special attention from the princesses) and breakfast at 'Ohana with Lilo and Stich.

I hope you have an excellent vacation!

    Magically,
    Stacy
