The free water park tickets on arrival day perk for resort guests are a part of this year’s
Cool KIDS’ SUMMER event, which runs from May 26 to September 8, 2026. So, unfortunately, you’ll just miss it by a couple of weeks.
Of course, if you want some extra water fun during your trip, you can
purchase water park tickets separately or
purchase theme park tickets that also include water park visits throughout your stay.
During Cool KIDS’ SUMMER, both water parks will be open to enjoy; however, once that event ends, the water parks may start operating on an alternating basis again. Last year, once the event ended,
Typhoon Lagoon remained open, so that may give us some guidance into what might happen this year.
It’s also good to note that, if you’re staying at a
Disney World resort, there is often more than one pool operating at each resort. So, you may have some options right there at your resort. Some resorts even offer
poolside cabana rentals for their guests, and from experience, this has absolutely been some of the best money I’ve ever spent at Disney World!
