We are coming in Sept 2014 for our fourth time with our 10 year old daughter. We are trying to choose between Spirit of Aloha or Hoop dee doo Revue. Any help on which one would be better (mostly for our daughter). I've heard both are great. Thanks!

    Hey Brenda!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom Panel!

I have attended both the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show and Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue and they are amazing dining experiences. I believe your daughter would enjoy both shows immensely. I would say the decision comes down to two factors: food choices and her personality.

If your daughter's food preferences are slightly on the adventurous side then Spirit of Aloha will be perfect as all their items are prepared with South Seas flavors such as pineapple and coconut. YUM! The food at Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue is a little less adventurous as it is a southern cooking fan's dream with items like fried chicken, baked beans, BBQ ribs and corn on the cob.

Your daughter's personality will also play a large part in the decision. If she is a bit on the shy side then Spirit of Aloha might be a better choice. While both shows offer fun crowd participation moments (I have fond memories of a 2-year-old in our group standing on his chair screaming ALOHA! at the top of his lungs at Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show), the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue is a rip roaring ruckus with dancing, singing and some serious wash-board playing.

I hope this helps your Disney planning. If you have any more questions please come back and see me.

Wishing you a magical Disney vacation and a pixie-dusted day!
