    We will be coming in Sept and have the dining plan. We will be staying 8 days and would like to go to one signature rest. I have chosen the Jiko, Art. Pt, BD, Narcoosee. I have a 15 who loves drama and different foods. Which would be our best choice?

    Hi, Janey!  One of my favorite - and my teenage daughter's favorite - restaurants is Jiko, and I think you've chosen perfectly with that one in terms of being different and dramatic.  Set in the absolutely incredible Animal Kingdom Lodge, the restaurant allows you the opportunity to spend some time out overlooking the Savannah and the gorgeous animals that roam the plains.  You might also be there for the African storytellers, which my girls have always enjoyed.

    The food at Jiko, though, is a highlight of any vacation.  With a decidedly African flair, you will find African favorites like mealie pap, East African curry sauce, and some interesting takes on salads and cheese plates.  You will find food here that you are not likely to encounter in restaurants at home, and even if you have an eater that is not exactly adventurous, we find things like the filet mignon with macaroni and cheese to be the best you'll find anywhere.

    Have a wonderful vacation - and how lucky to have an adventurous eater!  I'm hoping my younger kids grow into more varied flavors!
