I am coming to Saratoga Springs in October 2021. Will the room renovation be complete by October?

    Hello Thomas!

Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa has been undergoing its room refurbishment since June of 2019. I have to admit, while I’ve always thought the resort had a fantastic location near Disney Springs, the previous room decor wasn't my favorite. I think the refurbishment, however, is an amazing upgrade to this resort! The colors are light and bright, and the room feels more elegant. I love the addition of the Murphy Bed as I find them more comfortable and easier to set up each night and stow away during the day. Plus my kids find Murphy Beds to be so much fun they look forward to sleeping on them!

The refurbishment is complete on all of the Preferred Rooms. This includes rooms in The Springs and Congress Park. Currently, the Standard Rooms are under renovation. The rooms in the Paddock are complete and work is almost complete in The Grandstand and has already started in The Carousel. As of the December 2020 Shareholders Meeting, the plan was to have the entire renovation complete by the end of Summer 2021. I don’t know if that means summer August or summer September, but that was the original plan. Generally, Disney doesn’t share exact completion dates with the public because of the real possibility of delays and changes. While I think we have all learned that things can and do change unexpectedly, I think it is very likely the room renovations will be done or almost done by your trip in October. If you would like a renovated room, it never hurts to request one of the areas that are complete. Requests are never guaranteed, but it’s always worth a polite ask!

There is also a planned renovation of the check-in area of the resort. This renovation is not scheduled to be complete until the end of October, so I would anticipate you may see this during your stay. I highly recommend using Online Check-in before your stay, and you may not even need to visit the front desk!

I hope this helps to answer your question, Thomas. Please let me know if you have any additional questions I can answer for you as your trip approaches!
