You can purchase a
MagicBand+ before your visit if you’d like to get a head start on the fun. Ordering one ahead of time is a great way to build excitement for your upcoming adventure. To shop in advance, simply visit the
ShopDisney website and browse the wide selection of available designs. There are so many character themes, colors, and styles to choose from, making it easy to find one that feels like the perfect match for your Disney day.
At this time, there isn’t a special discount on MagicBand+ purchases specifically for Guests staying at a
Disneyland Resort Hotel. However, if you have a
Disney Premier Visa Card, you may be eligible for a discount when purchasing through ShopDisney. It’s always worth checking to see if that perk applies when you’re placing your order.
If you prefer to wait until you arrive, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to pick up a MagicBand+ once you’re at the Disneyland Resort. You can usually find them at shops throughout
Disneyland Park,
Disney California Adventure Park, the
Downtown Disney District, and inside the Disneyland Resort Hotels. If you happen to be a
Magic Key holder or have a Disney Premier Visa Card, you may also be eligible for select merchandise discounts when purchasing in person.
One advantage of purchasing your MagicBand+ ahead of time is that you can link it to the
Disneyland app and your park tickets before you arrive. Once everything is connected, you can use your band to scan into the parks and access
Lightning Lane entrances with a quick tap, which makes moving through your day just a little bit smoother.
MagicBand+ also adds some extra interactive fun to your visit. During nighttime spectaculars like
World of Color Happiness!, your band may light up and vibrate along with the show, adding a fun layer to the experience. Certain attractions also trigger special effects. And if you’re planning to spend time in
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland, you can use your MagicBand+ while playing Batuu Bounty Hunters. This interactive game sends you on a mission through Black Spire Outpost to track down hidden bounties.
