We are coming to Orlando towards the end of April 09, is that a good time to come? Also my son will be 2 1/2 by then which is the best park to take him to?

    Hi Nicole,

My first answer is that any time is a good time to come to Disney World but I would guess you are concerned with crowds and weather. April is typically a beautiful month to visit, the temperatures usually range from the high fifties to low eighties and the average April rainfall is the lowest of the year (approximately 1.8 inches by the way).

The crowds in April usually range from high to moderate. Early April is usually busier due to Spring Break crowds but by mid to late April most of the crowds have begun to subside as the children go back to school. A review of the information on touringplans.com indicates the crowd levels to range from a seven in mid April to a five by the end of the month, with ten being the most crowded.

If you are only going to visit one park, my suggestion would easily be Magic Kingdom. MK holds all the wonder, excitement and magic of Disney World. There are numerous rides here that are friendly to all ages and abilities and the best opportunites for character interaction. The parades are classic Disney and the Wishes fireworks show over Cinderella Castle is still one of my favorite memories to share with my children.

I hope you and your son have a magical trip!
