Moderate resort check in

Hi! We are coming into Orlando early in the morning on the Nov. 22. We can't check in until 3pm, but can we park our car at the resort? If so, will we be able to utilize the perks of staying in a Disney Resort like the buses to the parks, etc.?

Hey there, Brooke! I am so glad you came to planDisney to ask your question about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!

Last month, my family and I arrived super early in the morning to our Walt Disney World Resort. We had planned to have breakfast and then drive over to drop off our bags with Bell Services. When we got to the resort, I went in to let them know we were actually ON the property, just in case we could get into our room early. We did wind up getting into our room around 2pm, which was a nice surprise.

You can absolutely head over to visit a theme park for the day once you have dropped off your luggage and parked your car. One of the Bell Services Cast Members will happily take your bags and give you a card to use to call them later when you arrive to your resort for good. Be sure to transfer anything out of your “park bag” that you won’t need for the day. You can also do this in reverse on your final day of your trip if you have a later flight.

In case you didn’t know, one of the perks of staying at a Disney Resort is that you can park at the theme parks for free. So, if you wanted to take your car to the theme park instead of waiting on a bus, you can! For me, this is often much easier than making my way to a bus stop, waiting on a bus, and then walking from the bus stop to the park entrance. I often use the preferred parking at the theme parks as well.

I hope you have a wonderful visit for The Most Magical Celebration on Earth

    Happy Traveling,
    Tracy
