We are coming in one week and are not having success getting reservations for any meals, any recommendations for the best places which do not need reservations? Thanks for the assistance.

Hi, Barb!  I understand your frustration at not being able to get any of the dining reservations you wanted!  I am coming down to Walt Disney World in just a few short weeks myself, and if it were not for Disney Mom Tanya securing a couple of last minute reservations, we would be doing counter service all the way.

Try eating at times that are a little off peak hours - maybe an early or a late dinner.  Also, try restaurants that may not be the first places someone thinks of.  We love Restaurant Marrakesh in the Morocco pavilion at EPCOT, and have gotten reservations there pretty close to vacation time.  Another one we enjoy where we can often find a table is the Kona Cafe at the Polynesian.  Raglan Road at Downtown Disney is my oldest daughter's favorite, and we've had a success finding tables there at the last minute.

Keep calling, all the way up until the time you leave.  Something might open up.  Don't rule out walking up to the podium when you are there to see if they can accommodate you.  Sometimes they have a last minute cancellation you might luck into.

If all else fails, I recommend the Picnic in the Park at Animal Kingdom.  My kids, my husband and I loved this dining experience.  At EPCOT, food choices abound, and you can nibble your way through the entire theme park.  Our favorite counter service is the Yakitori House, followed a close second by Tangierine Cafe.

Nothing tastes as good as a hot dog from Casey's at the Magic Kingdom, and we enjoy the Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station (open seasonally), and Cosmic Ray's.  You might also try Tony's Town Square for a last minute reservation - we've gotten a table there last minute.

    Good luck!
