    Hello we are coming in October, is the weather usually favorable. Will I need to pack a heavy or light jacket for my baby? Oh and can you tell me when the Mickey's not so scary party tickets go on sale?

    Hi Courtney,

    Disney World in October is generally a great month for the weather. The average temperatures typically range in the mid to low eighties as highs and the low sixties in the evenings. Rainfall could still be an issue at times as the average amount of rain is close to 3" for the month, but that is nothing compared to the almost daily summer storms June-August.

    Our family has visited many times in October and usually are quite comfortable in tshirts and shorts and on occasion, a light sweatshirt in the evenings. We have actually visited a few times where it was still very warm and even humid all the way through Halloween, as we have had to skip the Halloween costumes at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party because it was just to hot for the outfits we had designed. Having said all of that, I still pack a light jacket or sweatshirt even during the hottest months, as many of the indoor restaurants and attractions can be quite chilly once the air conditioner is blasting. Depending on the age of the child, I would even pack a light blanket or a few pairs of pants just in case Florida has an unusually cool spell while you are visiting.

    As for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, which we love by the way, great news.....tickets are now on sale. They can be purchased by calling 407-939-3463. You can find a list of the dates if you visit www.allears.net under Theme Parks and Special Events.
