I am coming with my mother on a flight april 1 - we are renting a car and driving to my uncles. We will be bringing the car back to the airport and then need a ride to the Polynesian Resort to meet up with the rest of our family. I would like to purchase

Aloha, Gretchen, and thanks for stopping by planDisney, where no one gets left behind! An April visit to Walt Disney World Resort with your 'ohana sounds like a dream come true, and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is a perfect choice. So let's discuss some options to get you to the magic quickly and safely.

Gretchen, you have a few transportation options to get from Orlando International Airport to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. My preferred method is to use a rideshare option like Lyft or Uber. Both have easy-to-use apps, and I've never had to wait long for a driver. Prices can vary depending on the time of day, but their rates are typically reasonable.

Another option is to use a shuttle service like Mears Connect or Sunshine Flyer. However, these are usually bus services, so you'd be riding with other guests, and buses can take longer since they may be making stops at other Disney Resort Hotels. Mears Connect and Sunshine Flyer also have mobile apps, so you might explore their procedures and pricing before your trip.

Finally, you could opt for a private car service. This would be your most expensive option, but you could schedule it in advance and know precisely when you'd be picked up. Again, I'd suggest doing an online search for companies that provide service from the airport.

You and your family will have a great time at The Polynesian! One of my favorite restaurants at Walt Disney World is Kona Cafe. I always ask for the off-menu tofu noodle bowl, but all their dishes are delicious. And here's a pro tip if anyone in your party enjoys the occasional adult beverage: The Spiky Pineapple at Trader Sam's Grog Grotto is a DOLEWhip spiked with rum, and it is so refreshing if you sip it by the pool.

I hope I've given you some viable transportation options for your upcoming visit, Gretchen. Please stop by planDisney with any other questions. To paraphrase Lilo, Disney is the best; I wouldn't trade it for anything.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
