We're coming with a 5 month old who can't sit in the standard wooden chairs yet. We can bring a compact chair that will attach to a table - will the restaurants allow this? Any other tips to make our dining experience work with our little guy?

    Hi Melinda,

I have seen guests use clip-on infant chairs at WDW restaurants, but the use of these items would be up to the staff at each individual restaurant. Some may have wobbly tables or other factors that would contraindicate the use of clip-on chairs.

As an alternative, many of the WDW restaurants do have bucket-style seat high chairs that are appropriate for infants. They may be stored in a back room, so be sure to ask about this when you arrive at the restaurant. And, unfortunately, in a few cases, you may just have to hold your baby while you eat.

Another strategy if your child will nap in a stroller, is to try to plan your table service dining during nap time. While stroller are not generally allowed into table service restaurants, they often do make exceptions for sleeping infants.

There is an article on the independent website DisneyFoodBlog.com that addresses this topic in some detail. Search there for "Disney Food for Families: Top Tips for Dining With a Baby in Disney World."

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
