Hi there Jennifer,
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for sending in your question, and I'd love to help get those details arranged for your visit with your daughter. How awesome that you get to spend some time together at Walt Disney World. My daughter is my "ride-or-die" when we go to the Most Magical Place on Earth... so I appreciate how wonderful those pixie-dusted, girl bonding trips can be!
The answer is yes, your daughter can absolutely re-use her MagicBand along with any tickets linked to her My Disney account. She can verify this either online by logging in to
My Disney Experience, or inside the
My Disney Experience app. Or if she hasn't created her own My Disney account, and you have previously managed her plans under your account... you can take these same steps to make sure her MagicBand and park ticket are linked to her guest account.
The key pieces to check:
- That her park special event ticket is linked (and assigned to her, if you are checking under your account). In the app, this is found by clicking the lower right "≡" menu icon, and then selecting "My Tickets & Passes".
- That her old MagicBand is linked. In the app, this is found by clicking the lower right "≡" menu icon, and scrolling down to Account - MagicBands & Cards. Select the guest name, and you can scroll through and see all Magic Bands linked to their account. You'll notice a tab for any of the newer MagicBand+ you may have, along with a tab listing all previously linked "older style" MagicBands. Make sure it shows a status of "Activated" and it should be ready to use! If you don't see it listed, click the "Link" button to add.
If for any reason this does not work, or you need further assistance, you can always
call MagicBand Support, and a Cast Member will be happy to help.
Jennifer, I'll be wishing upon a start for you and your daughter to have a terrific time together at Magic Kingdom! Please
let me know if you have additional questions.
See ya' real soon!
Tami
