Coming in May with 4 and 2 yr old boys. Trying to keep budget low. Taking advantage of the $99 Fl Res dream pass. Since we live in FL we can bring a cooler with own food. Any ideas on what to pack for snacks and lunches?

Hi, Lisa!  You can bring a cooler into the theme parks, but it must conform to these specifications:

Suitcases, coolers or backpacks with or without wheels larger than 24" (61 cm) long x 15" (38 cm) wide x 18" (46 cm) high are not permitted in the parks.

I find that most people I talk to prefer a smaller, soft sided cooler, just because it's easier to move around the theme parks with it than a heavier, hard side cooler.

As for what to pack, even though it's in a cooler, and you have ice in it, I'm always a bit cautious about what to pack.  As I'm sure you  know, living in Florida, the heat can be overwhelming.  I would try to stick with things that would be okay for the heat, like peanut butter and jelly, fresh fruit, juices, pretzels, and crackers.  If you are going to bring food that might spoil, just keep a close eye on your cooler, and replenish the ice when you need to.

    Have a wonderful vacation!
