Hi There, We are coming to Magic Kingdom on a Mickeys Not so Scary Party night in August. We are planing on arriving a bit before it starts and would like to book Tron as a single pass. What is the latest window I could book. Is it 6-7? Thanks Liam

    Hi Liam!

    Welcome back to planDisney!

Unfortunately, I’m not quite sure how Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass will work during party season this year. But here are a few things to consider.

First up, I’ve noticed that the latest Lightning Lane return times offered at the parks currently begin 40 minutes prior to park close. That last return time of the day is also only 40 minutes long instead of the normal 60-minute return time window.

If that’s the case, the final Lightning Lane Single Pass return time could possibly end up being 5:20-6:00 PM since the park officially closes at 6:00 PM on Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party nights.

We also know that Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Single Pass, and Premier Pass are usually not available during party hours. While this is subject to change, my guess is that it will be the same this year, as well.

Finally, in the past, there have been times when guests who only have party tickets have not been able to purchase Lightning Lane services for the time between when they can enter the park and when the party starts. Since the party hasn’t started this year, I’m not sure if this will be the case or not.

All this to say…I think it’s worth trying to book a Lightning Lane Single Pass for TRON (what a way to start the night!), but unfortunately, I can’t guarantee that the return time will 6:00-7:00 PM.

The good news, though, is that TRON will be offered via standby line during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (subject to change). And riding it at night is the absolute best! While this is still a popular ride and will likely have one of the longer attraction queues during the party, the wait time will also likely be much shorter than during normal park hours.

If you don’t snag a Lightning Lane Single Pass for TRON and you don’t want to spend your party time in line, I recommend getting in line for the attraction right around official park closing at 6:00 PM. Lots of guests with regular park admission will have already left the park, and you’ll still have an hour until party time to give yourself time to ride.

Let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan your trip! I hope you have the best time!
