We are coming in June , we would like to know which character breakfast Cape May or Akershus Royal Banquet hall would best suit our 3(girl) 6(boy) 7(girl). are the menus the same? What characters come to each? thanks for you time and help

The character meals at the Cape May Cafe and the Akershus are very different.

The Cape May meal at the Beach Club resort is quite gender neutral. The characters present are usually Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Pluto and Chip and Dale. There is a full breakfast buffet here with classic American favorites (eggs, bacon, fruit, waffles, etc.), usually something that will appeal to international guests (Miso soup maybe), and a fun yogurt bar. This is one of the calmest character meals at WDW. The restaurant is relatively small and the character antics are kept to a minimum (in contrast to Chef Mickey's where there are often small parades throughout the restaurant).

The meal at the Akershus in the Norway pavilion at Epcot is actually called the Princess Storybook breakfast. Here the characters are all princesses or leading ladies and there are many many little girls among the diners. The characters there on any given day may vary slightly, but you are likely to see at least a few of Sleeping Beauty, Ariel (in human form), Belle, Snow White, and others. The breakfast is served family style, all you care to eat. There is a very small buffet area, where you can get some cold items and fruit, but the main meal is brought to your table in a large skillet. This includes eggs, bacon, sausage and biscuits. You can get as many refills of these are you need. The best part, in my daughters' opinion, is the chocolate cinnamon buns that come with the meal. Yuuuuummmy!

I've been to both of these meals several times and they are both great. Which would be best for you depends on several factors, but most notably your son's tolerance for the princess characters. If he's fine with them, then the girls in your group would likely prefer the Akershus. Otherwise, you'll be fine at the Cape May.

Hope you have a great trip!
