Disney Dining Plan can upgrade to the new stainless mug for a small additional fee. I like the convenience they add to our trips since they are eligible for refills at any resort self-service beverage location for the length of your resort stay.
As you noted, these mugs have a clear travel lid making it easy to transport your drink while in the air on the Skyliner or on the ground in your stroller's cup holders. I did some research, and they purportedly hold 20 ounces, and the diameter at the top is approximately 3.5 inches, which is similar to the dimensions of my Yeti coffee tumbler I use at home. Try doing an Amazon search for "spill proof replacement clear coffee tumbler lid 20 oz."
