Coming in January- is it worth it to go to Blizzard Beach? Don't want to be cold and miserable... Really want to go though.

Hey, Kathryn! I can certainly understand how much you would like to visit Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park! Both of the Disney Water Parks are so much fun and are a nice break away from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks. During your planned January visit, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is scheduled to be closed for refurbishment, but you are more than welcome to head over to Blizzard Beach. Despite the cold name, you will find warm waters awaiting you, as Disney keeps all of the Resort area pools heated. One thing you will want to watch out for is the cool breeze that may blow as you step out of the water! Bbbrrr!

January is a mixed bag of weather every year. When I have visited in January, I have found temperatures ranging anywhere from the 40s to 80s; sometimes this big jump is even made in one day! Since we cannot stop by Haunted Mansion to gaze into Madame Leota's crystal ball to see exactly what the weather will be like during your visit, I would hold off on purchasing Water Park tickets until you actually plan to visit. At that time, you can either buy a separate Water Park ticket, easily add the Water Park Fun & More option to your current tickets, or even purchase a Water Park Annual Pass.

I hope you have a splashtastic day, Kathryn! Please let us know if any other question swim up as you continue to plan your trip.
