Coming in January with DD 18 months, my husband & his parents. We have DDP with QS & TS each day. Our day of arrival we will not be going to a park. I am looking for a great lunch using QS meal for that day. Interested in visiting other hotels

Hi Tiffany! Planning activities outside the parks is a great idea for the first day of your Disney vacation. My family often likes to visit Downtown Disney at the beginning of our trips -- we love browsing the shops and dining at the restaurants there. You can have a really tasty Quick-Service lunch at the Earl of Sandwich or the Wolfgang Puck Express; both have great food! If you'd prefer to visit one of the Disney resorts instead, consider a trip to the Mara at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. This Quick-Service eatery serves traditional favorites such as pizza, salads, and burgers, as well as more exotic offerings such as African Stew and a generous chicken dinner. Definitely try the yummy Zebra Dome for dessert! After lunch, stroll out to the savanna behind the lobby to view the giraffes, zebras, and other animals and chat with the knowledgeable cast members. This resort also has a lovely gift shop with unique African items that you might enjoy browsing.

Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you need more help planning your trip! Hope you have a magical vacation!
