Hi! I am coming with my husband and two boys to WDW in November. Epcot is our fave park so we usually stay at the Beach Club. We've thought about Wilderness Lodge for something different, but love everything about the BC. What would you suggest?

Hi Lori! I completely understand your dilemma as Disney's Beach Club Resort just happens to be my favorite Resort on property. With that being said, I decided to try Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort last December and can honestly say that it is a new favorite of mine, so much so, that I have booked it again for this fall.I typically choose a Resort based on the time of year we are visiting and what we will be doing on that particular trip.If traveling in the warmer months when the kids can enjoy the pools, I would choose Disney's Beach Club for the amazing Stormalong Bay.However, I love the feel of the Wilderness Lodge in the fall and winter months.I also loved the Pacific Northwest theming at this Disney Deluxe Resort and could just sit all day in the massive lobby enjoying the 82-foot-tall lobby fireplace.I actually preferred the quick- service restaurant, Roaring Forks, over that of the quick-service location at the Beach Club. Both resorts offer campfires at dusk for roasting marshmallows and Movies Under the Stars.Follow this link to view all the recreational activities available at the Wilderness Lodge. I know you mentioned that Epcot is your favorite park and that is one of the biggest perks of staying at the Beach Club. You will need to travel to all of the Disney parks by way of the bus transportation if staying at the Wilderness Lodge, with the exception of the Magic Kingdom, which can be accessed by water launch (water taxi.) If your children enjoy nature and wildlife, then the Wilderness Lodge may be a great choice! Fire Rock Geyser and Whispering Canyon Café are two unique bonuses for kids at this Resort! This is almost like choosing a favorite child, but I kind of think it may be fun for you guys to try something new! Please feel free to ask me any other questions that you may have. Best wishes for a Magical Trip, Lori!
    Happy Planning,
