We are coming for our honeymoon in July 2013 and were wondering are the king bed rooms in the MB or AB section of the port orleans riveride resort? which would be more romantic? Can you ask for a certain section Thank you!

    Hi, Justin!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside is a great choice for your honeymoon stay. The entire Riverside Resort has a romantic atmosphere with beautiful landscaping and lovely architecture - it truly feels like a Deluxe Resort but at Moderate prices!

The vast majority of Guest rooms in both the Magnolia Bend and Alligator Bayou sections have 2 Queen beds, but there are a smaller percentage of rooms featuring King beds. The good news is that you can specify a King Bed category at the time of booking, should that be your preference. Do be sure to let the Disney reservationist know that you will be celebrating a special event and will be on your honeymoon! Depending upon availability during your stay in July, you can request one of the following views: landscaping, courtyard, garden, bayou, riverfront or courtyard pool. Rooms with views of landscaping are usually the quietest while waterfront and courtyard pool views can often be the noisiest with boat traffic and children playing in the pool.

I would recommend one of the mansion buildings in the Magnolia Bend section for a honeymoon stay because I feel this section is a bit more romantic and luxurious with gorgeous manicured courtyards and stunning Southern plantation-style architecture. You can request the Magnolia Bend section of the resort when you make your reservation. As for individual mansion buildings, the King Bed rooms are located in Acadian House (Bldg. 80) and Magnolia Terrace (Bldg. 85). (Oak Manor and Parterre Place house the Royal Guest Rooms which feature 2 Queen beds.) Magnolia Terrace is closer to Ol' Man Island (the swimming complex) as well as to the main building with dining, shopping, lobby and marina.

Wishing you a magical honeymoon, Justin!
